The main construction work of Taicang T&W Phase II Warehouse and Production Plant formally started on January 8th, 2013.
As a result of a large number of pile foundations in construction work, small spacing, great workload and pressing construction schedules, there are many difficulties in earth excavation and construction. In order to complete the construction before the deadline, lighting facilities have been installed around the site to facilitate appropriate construction at night, and the combination of mechanical and artificial means is adopted to expedite earth excavation. Five digging machines are working simultaneously to ensure on-time delivery of the project. In addition, the general contractor, Jiangsu Nantong No.3 Construction Group Co., Ltd., will appropriately increase the number of reinforcement workers, template workers, bricklayers and other construction workers according to the actual progress of the construction, so as to ensure the completion of foundation-related work of the warehouse before the 2013 Spring Festival, laying a foundation for the work after the Spring Festival. Currently, warehouse underlayer concerting, grouting of pile holes, reinforcement of pile caps and template preparation are in progress.
As the Phase II warehouse is scheduled to put into use by April 30, the time for construction is tight. To ensure the progress and quality of the project, the Infrastructure Division of Taicang T&W holds on-site routine meetings every day to assess quality, schedule, safety issues of the previous day and arrange work for the current day, making the best effort to guarantee that all capital construction works of Phase II are carried out as scheduled with good quality.
