Leaders of 17 business units attended the 2017 Planning and Pre-research Conference
The responsibilities shall never be forgotten at senior ages, and fighting shall even be advocated at young ages. During the period from October 24 to 26, leaders of 17 business units attended the 2017 Planning and Pre-research Conference. The company management team listened to the report of the annual plan, answered and reviewed on site. In addition, they passed the annual preliminary plans of 7 business unitsthrough the collective vote and additional views. Mr. Wang and Mr. Tang stressed the importance and seriousness of the 2017 Planning and Pre-researchConference. Mr. Wang noted thateach piece of your statement and plan of every one would be the serious responsibility. We are all responsible persons, including Mr. Tang, vice presidents of the company, general manager of product line, as well as the general manager and various executives of subsidiaries and me. He highlighted the seriousness of the annual plan. Mr. Tang said that in order to achieve thesustainable development of the next stage, we must change the path taken in the past. “I always believe that innovation is the most important. I hope to hear more new ideas, new methods and new measures, so as to successfully accomplish the annual task and realize the second undertaking.”
The agenda for the three days was fully scheduled. On the 24th, Mr. Wang delivered the opening remarks. On the same day, IBM consultants and executives conducted key tasks and cadre performance seminar and cadre code of conduct and capacity requirements seminar. In the afternoon, Mr. Tang hosted a regular meeting of executives for October. In the next two days, 17 business units reported their 2017 annual plans respectively. Among them, the supplemented annual plans from the business units including Shenzhen Wireless Application Product Line, TaiwanTongjin Company, ShanghaiBandaoNew Media Company, Shenzhen Yilanda Company, XinqiaoT&W, TaicangT&W, New Technology and Development Strategy Research Laboratory, etc. have beenapproved. In the opening speech, Mr. Wang said,“as the founder of the T&W, we have never treated a plan so seriously like this. That’s why we are having 2017 Annual Research Conference today, which is unprecedented in the past. Though Mr. Tang and I are not young anymore, we would still shoulder such responsibility resolutely.This is a serious and destined responsibility. Though we are old, we still have to shoulder it with our determination.”
“The goal for the annual turnover in 2017 isexact 8 billion, which cannot beslightly less. If the amount we submitted today is less than 8 billion, we must try all means todivide to the various departments! There is no way back! The second undertaking is not put forward casually, it is the integrated result created by Mr. Tang and all the vice presidents of the Company according to the current status quo of the Company development, the status of the market as well as the development resolution of the Company.Such resolution is that ourT&W is destined to become an outstanding enterpriseandwe do not leave a way out for ourselves. We share the same responsibility for 8 billion.This is the first time ever for the Company to treat the plan in such a serious manner.”
“The IBM Consultant told us that seriousness shall be guaranteed for the business plan, and that there is room for change in the apportionprocess of the goal of 8 billion before the end of the Pre-research Conference.Such change requires the fully grounded reason to convince everyone and it needs the binding resolution by everyone.If we have no objections and we all acquiesced, we would not change again and again for one or two hundred million or tens of millions. Therefore,each statement and every planstand forthe serious responsibility.We are all responsible persons, including me, Mr. Tang, vice president of the company, general manager of product line, and the general manager and various executives of subsidiaries.The second undertaking is a great examination for the Company, and we must be sure to seriously treat each of the planning and deployment. For so many years since the founding of the Company, we have never valued a plan so seriously and have never shouldered such heavy responsibility on our shoulders so seriously.I believe that as long as we are serious and prudent, and carefully treat and implementthe plans, the second undertaking is bound to be a success.”
Mr. Tang summarized his speech at the end of the 2017Planning and Pre-research Conference. He pointed out: "In order to achieve the sustainable development and continue to be a recognized company, we must change the pathtaken in the past. Whenone way reaches its end, we must manage to take another way, which is the so-called innovation.I always believe that innovation is the most important. In the future, we have to adhere to the innovation in a down-to-earth manner, andstick to industry, technological development and accumulation. If we have achieved these three points, we will definitelyaccomplish the plan next year, and we will be more bold and resolute in the path of innovation.”
“If we are not engaged in innovation, we will never achieve the goal of 10 million! Let alone 8 billion. We will not be able toaccomplish the plan next year in the old way, and we can only achieve it by finding a new way! There will definitely a certain risk in searching for the new ways, and there must be a period of painful time.But the company, the boardandthe management team would surely spend thedarkness before dawn, or even pain, failure and frustration together with everyone.”
“In the end, I believe that innovation willmake us successful. Innovation may be successful and failed, but the probability of success is relatively large; if there is no innovation,the failure must be the result. I hope that the business leaders can jump out from the outdated thinking and methods in the development of the Plan for 2017. I hope I can see more new ideas, new methods and new measures in the Plan for 2017, so as to successfully complete the annual task and realize the second undertaking.”
